What is marine collagen?

Marine collagen is a protein found in the skin and scales of top bass fish. Collagen is a protein present in our body. From the age of 25, its quantity decreases by 1% every year naturally. This decrease in collagen in our body results in aging of the skin (wrinkles, fine lines), a reduction in mobility (aging of cartilage and tendons), and in a weakening of the appendages and hair.

What are the dangers of marine collagen?

Marine collagen is a protein already present in our body. Its supplementation is in theory harmless for our body . However, marine collagen can still represent a danger in the event of an overdose (more than 30 grams per day) , the kidneys may have some difficulty in assimilating all of the ingested marine collagen . This can then create stomach pain , although mild, and long-term kidney damage . For some formulas that contain other substances such as antioxidants, preservatives or others (often present in marine collagen capsules), it is then also possible to experience headaches, constipation, nausea and vomiting.
